1. Modern Day Delilah - 8
Great opening track, and a good choice as the first single.
2. Russian Roulette - 9
I adore the tempo fluctuations in the song.
3. Never Enough - 9
Screw the similarities with "Ain't Nothing But A Good Time" - NE is a typical Paul song and I love it!
4. Yes I Know (Nobody's Perfect) - 7
The most "70-ish" song on the album.
5. Stand - 6.5
Too cheesy for me, but I like the fact that Paul and Gene shares the lead vocals on this one.
6. Hot And Cold - 6.9
Love 'Em Leave 'Em anyone?
7. All For The Glory - 7.5
I love Eric's voice but I do not think they should play this one live...
8. Danger Us - 10
Awesome song, Paul's voice is kickass, and the lyrics: "Danger you, danger me, danger us" - WOHO!
9. I'm An Animal - 10
Skip I Love It Loud and make Gene spit blood to this song!!!
10. When Lightning Strikes - 9.5
Great song, Tommy's vocals are great, Tommy should play this song after his guitar solo live.
11. Say Yeah - 8.5
This one's made to be played live, SAY YEAH!

1. Modern Day Delilah - 9
Great song. I always have this thing about lead off singles. Normally they are really good songs (hence why they are singles) and the anticipation to hear other tracks from a CD grows and grows, when finally a disc full of new tunes comes out, I forget about the lead one.
2. Russian Roulette - 8
Really good. Even if it is and older demo and not 100%, that might be part of it's charm.
3. Never Enough - 8
Catchy as hell. I don't hear enough Poison in this to make a fuss over. It's that up beat motivational KISS I Love.
4. Yes I know (Nobody's Perfect) - 8
Same as Russian Roulette. I love Eric's Back ground vocals on this one.
5. Stand - 9
Just because it's Gene & Paul together singing (which I wish there were more of), doesn't make me think of GGRnRTYII. When I listen to the lyrics, it makes me think of some of my best friends. Great tune.
6. Hot and Cold - 8
Hahaha, again with the re-worked demo. Still I love the vibe.
7. All for the Glory - 5
My least favorite on the album. I like Eric's voice. Just musically & especially lyrically, I just don't care for it.
8. Danger Us - 8
Love the hook
9. I'm an Animal - 6
I wanted to like this song. It's ok. It just doesn't have that dark vibe that Gene's other persona songs have... God Of Thunder, War Machine, Unholy. The lyrics are fine, just too glossy. Like Ken said, the scream is awesome.
10. When Lightning Strikes - 9
Second favorite on the album. I love the lyrics. Love Tommy's voice.
11. Say Yeah - 10
Favorite song on the album. Love the lyrics, the melody, and especially the guitar on this one.
... Gotta hear this one right now!

1. Modern Day Delilah- 9
Great tune. Probably the strongest riff on the record ( I think this album is a bit anemic when it comes to big guitar hooks). Defnitely Paul's best song on SB. I dig Tommy's solo on this one, too.
2.Russian Roulette-9
Loved it from the get-go. Reminds me alot of '80's Gene..the intro recalls "Love's A Deadly Weapon". The first line of the verse is my favorite Gene lyric on the album. I just love the delivery, it's pure Simmons attitude. I'd love to hear this one live.
3. Never Enough-6
I hated, hated, HATED this song the first time I heard it. I originally would've given this a 0 rating but I've given it a few listens since then and it's begun to grow on me a little bit. I like the energy on this one and it's undeniably catchy, though this is the track where you can really here the deterioration of Paul's voice.
4. Yes I Know (Nobody's Perfect)-10
In my opinion, the crown jewel of SB and one of the only songs worthy of the "70's vibe" hype they rolled out for this album. Needs to be in the set-list at once.
5. Stand-5
First time my wife heard this one she said it sounded like something from High School Musical. Only KISS could get away with something this sugar-coated. I can't help but picture Gene and Paul singing this to each other. I'll listen once in awhile, but I tend to skip this one. Just TOO cheesy for me.
6. Hot And Cold-8
I was luke-warm about this one initially but it’s grown on me as well. Another definite contender for the ‘70’s vibe trophy. The call and response chorus at the end gives me chills…really took me back to hearing those early KISS albums for the first time.
7. All For The Glory-7
Really love the energy of this tune, the riffs and Eric’s voice sounds fantastic. The only thing that keeps me from rating it higher is the cheesy lyrics and Tommy’s guitar solo (he quotes old Ace solos a bit too much in this one for my tatse. I hear “Parasite” “Strutter” and “C’mon And Love Me” in it). I think it would work great live.
8. Danger Us-5
I have given this one numerous chances and it’s just never caught on for me. Pretty forgettable. Typical ‘80’s style filler to me.
9. I’m An Animal-9
The next strongest riff after MDD on the album. Like Norm has said, it would work nice a little darker but it’s still a high point on SB for me. Big, powerful song..this one is on my work-out mix CD.
10. When Lightning Strikes-3
The worst thing on this album. I really dislike it. I think Tommy has a fantastic singing voice but this song is SO overly clichéd, even by KISS standards, that it bores me to death. Hits me like weak, 5th generation hair-metal fluff.
11. Say Yeah-5
People seem to really like this song, but I’ve missed the boat on it. I think it’s a weak way to end the album and another disappointment from Paul. Just doesn’t do it for me at all.
_________________ GS: What made the band finally drop the makeup?
We were bordering on playing roles because it just wasn't who we were anymore. We had too much respect for our fans and ourselves to turn KISS into a Broadway show. The makeup wasn't a fashion statement, it was a statement of people and their personalities. I though we were holding on to something a little longer than we should have, because it really wasn't a true reflection of who we were at that point. We needed to figure out if we were a real band, or just a bunch of guys with makeup. I figured that if all we were about was white faces and platform boots, then we should call it quits. To be effective as a band, we had to drop the makeup. -Paul Stanley 1993

1. Modern Day Delilah 8.0
Great lead off single, might not have been the correct single, but a great welcome to the CD
2. Russian Roulette 8.0
CLASSIC, CLASSIC Gene.....love the tempo changes, and Genes voice on this one!
3. Never Enough 8.0
Even with all the Poison bashing on this tune, I think its a great KISs song, and deserves to be in the catalog!
4. Yes I know (Nobody's Perfect) 9.0
KISS, PLAY THIS LIVE IN 2010
5. Stand 9.0
A great "back to the formula" with Gene and paul sharing vocals-a great song celebrating the friendship within the band, and the fans!
6. Hot and Cold 8.0
Great song-could have been placed on either RARO, or LOVE GUn-classic Gene!
7. All for the Glory 7.5
My least favorite on the CD-Erics voice is incredible, I just can take so much of the poppy guitar part.
not a bad song, just one I skip!
8. Danger Us 8.5
Classic creatures vibe on this one-Classic paul, classic song...LOVE it
9. I'm an Animal -8.0

After a few months...here is how I look at it. I am not looking at my review, either.
1. Modern Day Delilah 9.5
Perfect lead single and one of the best songs on the record. Great lyric, solo, and riff. Easily a "new classic".
2. Russian Roulette 6
Eh, this one has done nothing for me since the album dropped. Feels too much like something off Asshole to me...
3. Never Enough 7.5
Cool song that I'd rate higher if not for the blatant Poison ripoff.
4. Yes I know (Nobody's Perfect) 8.5
GREAT Gene track. Love the chorus.
5. Stand 9
Love this song despite how cheesy it is. Gene and Paul singing together = win.
6. Hot and Cold 9
IMO, the best Gene song on the record. LOVE the chorus.
7. All for the Glory 7.5
Merely decent. Eric's voice seems weak on this one. He needed to project more like he does live.
8. Danger Us 8
Good track though Paul's voice sounds to be on its last legs.
9. I'm an Animal 7.5
Decent song. Very middle of the road for me.
10. When Lightning Strikes 8.5
Cool song that is somewhat hampered by the cheesy lyrics. I wanna hear this live.
11. Say Yeah 9.5
GREAT SONG! Maybe as good as MDD.
Overall: 8.2/10 (Average scores)
For comparison...here were my original thoughts in October...
Modern Day Delilah - Cool song. I love the riff and Paul sounds pretty good. I even liked his tortured screams, though I'm concerned about how they'll sound live. My favorite part is Gene on the chorus. This band sounds like KISS, not a bunch of guys in the studio. Cool solo. 9/10
Russian Roulette - I love Gene's bass on this one. Big 80's feel on this one. The vocals sound like Asshole to me. The chorus is cool, but it feels like a different song. Cool solo. Decent song from Gene. 8/10
Never Enough - I wonder if Paul is a Poison fan? It's okay, this sound like Nothin' But a Good Time, and it ripped off Deuce. Fun song. LOVE the chorus. Again, hearing Gene on a Paul song is awesome. To this point, my favorite track. 10/10
Yes I Know - I FUCKING LOVE THE INTRO!!! Reminds me of a bluesy version of "Goodbye". Voice has a very 70's vibe to it. Cliche lyrics...and that's the best part. I love the chorus (Very Dr. Loveish). This will be amazing live. Cool solo that reeks of Aceisms. 10/10
Stand - Gotta love the trade off vocals. The chorus is easily my favorite part of the whole record. It may be one of my top 10 KISS songs (Gonna have to live with it for a while before I make that determination). Love the Bridge. 10/10
Hot and Cold: Decent Gene song. Like the Chorus much more than the verse. To this point my least favorite, maybe my least favorite on the album. So-so solo. Other than the chorus, I'm just not feeling this one. 6/10
All for the Glory: Cool song. Eric sounds great. I think he may be the best live vocalist in the band now. I hope they do this live. Very cool lyric. Sounds more like Psycho Circus than the 70's...and that's fine. Fun solo. 9/10
Danger Us: Cool beginning. Decent song with no stand out parts, IMO. I like the chorus, but it's very average IMO. 7/10
I'm an Animal: Cool riff. Gene sounds great on this. Fun chorus. Decent leads. Good tune. 8/10
When Lightning Strikes: WOW! Tommy really impressed me here. Totally surpassed my greatest expectations. After years of hearing him screech that part in Shout it out Loud, I find out he can actually sing. Cool solo too. I hope he gets to do this live. 9/10
Say Yeah!: Great song. Love the riff. GREAT Chorus. Paul sounds great. My second favorite on the album. 10/10
Overall: 9/10 (Rounded up from 8.72). GREAT album with a few average tracks. When average tracks are what bring you down, you're in good shape. Stand really has the ability to be one of my all time favorites.
WOW!!!! Look how things change!
