I don't have the Billion album, but I do have an album called "Beast of Alice Cooper". It only contains songs from the early albums, and I do enjoy them!

It has some of the best stuff from Billion Dollar Babies. If the rest is as good as the tracks from Billion Dollar Babies, it may be worth getting. 0smile2

Yes!

I bought Killer this weekend and I spent my sunday listening to it. It's a very good album, better than Billion Dollar Babies and Hey Stoopid! but I always prefer Trash. The booklet is the best I've seen, I liked the billion dollar included in Billion Dollar Babies, but in Killer you get even better: cool band pic and a 1972 (!) calendar that made me 0shock . It surprised me that the external package was so simple (basic red brackground) while the music was so rich (Halo Of Flies is very diversified, I thought I had heard several songs at the end of it).

Is it me or does Dead Babies talk of parents who don't take care of their kids ? I think I understood some lyrics but I'm not sure...

And my parents ordered the 3 albums that were made before Killer (and mentionned in the booklet):
Easy Action (also because KISS_44 recommended Killer and this one to me, I hope it will be as good as Killer if not better)
Pretties For You
Love It To Death
and two I'm curious of:
Muscle Of Love (published in 1973 like Billion Dollar Babies and it looks fun by the critic I read)
Lace And Whiskey (the title and artwork had me wonder what it was like)

The Internet makes things so simple today. 0smile2

I received 3 albums:
Pretties For You: it isn't very good, Reflected and Levity Ball are good, but I don't like the rest alot...

Easy Action: it is a bit better, Mr. And Misdemeanor and Refrigerator Heaven are funny, the rest is good.

Love It To Death: it is awesome. Except Black Juju, I like all the songs on this one. I like it even more than Killer and Hey Stoopid!, but still less than Trash. It's also much better than Billion Dollar Babies and the 2 that came before.

Now, I can't wait to hear Muscle Of Love (which I will receive soon) and Lace And Whiskey (which will take longer, it's from a seller and not really amazon).

I've heard samples from the boxset too and I think I may be into getting Welcome To My Nightmare, From The Inside and DaDa. The songs from DaDa sound bizarre but fun while the other 2 sound like good albums.
I was a bit disappointed by the songs from Constrictor though, I was hoping for better.

Didn't have much time, but I got Muscle Of Love and Lace And Whiskey.

I like Muscle Of Love, great album. Lace And Whiskey is more bizarre, but some songs on it are funny.

Found a nice compilation yesterday, it's called Classicks. It has 3 songs from The Last Temptation, and it seems to be a good album (don't like Stolen Prayer that much, but Lost In America is awesome and I like It's Me (silly me excpecting to hear You And Me... 0rolleyes )). The live songs are really cool too. I hadn't heard Only Women Bleed or School's Out before, but they seem to be nice songs. The versions of Eighteen and Billion Dollar Babies are the best tracks on here, but the live versions of Under My Wheels and No More MR. Nice Guy, the 2 Trash songs (Poison and House Of Fire) and the Hey Stoopid! ones (Hey SToopid, Feed My Frankenstein and Love's A Loaded Gun) are nice too.

Now, I have some questions:
It's said that the live songs come from a video (Trash The World), has it been released on DVD and is it still available ?
Where is that Fire song from ? Doesn't seem to be on any album... Well, it's still a nice rarity. 0smile2

I must say, I really like what I've heard of him, so I thought I had to share these positive thoughts.

Listening to Lace And Whiskey right now. I really like it but it doesn't look like a very loved album... icon_confused

Yeah, that's great! Reading your opinions and thoughts is really inspirational. I don't know much about Alice and his albums so I can't really discuss it. I'm more of a casual Alice fan.

I basically don't know much either, but my curiosity got me to pick up several albums and it's always nice to share these thoughts with others, who knows, maybe someone will see my message and say "finally another Lace And Whiskey fan" like I did when I read about gappvembe. 0laugh3

I bought a new album today, Alice Cooper Goes To Hell... Rather bizarre but entertaining too. Somee songs are pretty funny, like You Gotta Dance (what ? Hell is a dancefloor ?! 0shock 0laugh3 ) or Give The Kid A Break (looks like your case won't be checked again sir, sorry). My favorite song is Guilty, but You Gotta Dance and Go To Hell are very good too.
I prefer it over Lace And Whiskey, but it's not as good as Trash, Love It To Death, Hey Stoopid, Muscle Of Love or Killer.

Speaking of comparison, it would be interesting if we listed our favorite Alice albums (no compilations, even Classicks, because I think there must be a lot, like it's the case with KISS).
Trash
Love It To Death
Hey Stoopid!
Muscle Of Love
Killer
Goes To Hell
Lace And Whiskey
Billion Dollar Babies
Easy Action
Pretties For You

I also came accross this DVD:

Anyone knows what it is ? Seems interesting, but I know like 3 songs off it... I found pictures of another DVD with the same title, but it has a cover that is closer to the album by that title (Welcome To My Nightmare)... Very strange... idunno

I bought the DVD, it's impressive... Big show here (the stage is impressive and all the costumes... THAT is some show I say), but very entertaining to watch. And the songs are really good. I guess I'll try and get the Welcome To My Nightmare album, it looks like a great album. Eighteen, Billion Dollar Babies and No More Mr. Nice Guy sound very good at this show.
