On March 10, 2010 it was reported that Corey Haim was taken to Providence Saint Joseph Medical Center in Burbank, California and pronounced dead at 2:15 a.m. (PST). Although police reportedly told CBS News that Haim died of an apparent overdose, police now state that an autopsy will determine the cause of death.

GS: What made the band finally drop the makeup?

We were bordering on playing roles because it just wasn't who we were anymore. We had too much respect for our fans and ourselves to turn KISS into a Broadway show. The makeup wasn't a fashion statement, it was a statement of people and their personalities. I though we were holding on to something a little longer than we should have, because it really wasn't a true reflection of who we were at that point. We needed to figure out if we were a real band, or just a bunch of guys with makeup. I figured that if all we were about was white faces and platform boots, then we should call it quits. On March 8th, 2010, it was announced via Roadrunner that DragonForce had parted ways with vocalist ZP Theart and would now be seeking a new frontman.

It is with great regret that DragonForce announce a parting of the ways with singer ZP Theart. This is due to insurmountable differences of musical opinion but the rest of the band sincerely wishes ZP great success with his future projects.� While the creative core members have begun writing the fifth album, they have also started a worldwide search for a new vocalist. �We are looking for a powerful, melodic singer to write a new chapter of DragonForce with us.� said guitarist Herman Li.
